Chipotle Mexican Grill has appointed Jason Kidd as its new Chief Operating Officer, effective May 19, 2025. Kidd will lead operations for nearly 3,800 restaurants. He has held leadership roles at Taco Bell, Sam’s Club, 99 Cents Only Stores, and Hearing Lab Technology.

Jack Hartung to Step Down After Over 20 Years

Jack Hartung will step down from his role as President and Chief Strategy Officer on June 1. He will remain with Chipotle restaurant as a senior advisor until March 2026. Hartung has been with the company since 2002 and helped lead its growth across several countries.

Expanded Roles for Existing Executives

Chipotle also announced changes in executive responsibilities:

  • Curt Garner, formerly Chief Customer and Technology Officer, will now lead strategy, technology, and supply chain.
  • Chris Brandt, Chief Brand Officer, will take on the title of President and oversee menu and ingredient development.
